Richard Avedon is an incredibly influential photographer that was known primarily for his portrait work and fashion photography. His photos taken in the streets particularly inspired me by the way he captures movement and emotion.

Website that is dedicated to street photography.  Not only aesthetically pleasing work, but many of the photos are obvious to tell the specific societal meaning the photographers are trying to convey.  Pictures  of the month are great!...  http://www.in-public.com/

10 famous street photography quotes you must know.  I fell in love with all of these quotes after reading them, they are both honest and inspiring.  My two favorites... "If your photos aren't good enough, then you're not close enough." "It is more important to click with people than to click with the shutter." -->  http://erickimphotography.com/blog/2011/09/10-famous-street-photography-quotes-you-must-know/
